Rating: Intermediate – pattern uses the "flower stitch" which can be quite complicated for some.
Note 1: do not join rounds

weave drawstring through spaces made by row 23, tie ends of drawstring together, weave
second drawstring trough same spaces in opposite directions, tie ends of drawstring
together. Trim off tails.

WHITE TWINKLE CHOKER

Materials: H hook; 7 yds Patons Brilliant, color, white twinkle
abbreviations:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
scs – single crochets
sts – stitches
sl st – slip stitch
sk – skip
ch-# – chain followed by a dash, followed by a number refers to the loop made by a chain.
Note: numbers in ( ) at end of rows indicate number of stitches and is not instruction you to do anything.
ROW 1: ch 5, join with a sl st in first ch, to form a ring.
ROW 2: ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join with a sl st in first sc. (10 scs)
ROW 3: work in back loop only of row 2, ch 1, 1 sc in ea sc around. Do not join. (10 scs)
ROW 4: work in unworked front loops of row 2, *(ch 5, sl st) 3 times in next sc*. Repeat from * to * around. (30 ch-5 loops)
ROW 5: work in both loops. sl st in first sc of row 3, (ch 7, sl st) 3 times in ea sc around. Do not join. Do not fasten off.
STRAPS
FIRST STRAP: ch 60, sc in 2nd ch from hook (ch 2, sk 2 chs, dc in next st) repeat to beginning of the ch-60, end with ch 1, sl st in next ch-7 loop. Fasten off.
SECOND STRAP: join yarn in a loop directly across from strap 1. Follow directions for first strap.

BABY PERKY PUFFS

3 oz Caron Simply Soft orchid
small amount of contrasting color
The yarn amount is estimated, the finished hat pictured above weighed 2 oz. I used a small amount of Red Heart Super Saver in purple as the contrasting color.
Gauge: 4 rows = 2" and 8 sts = 2"
Specialty St:
PUFF ST: (yo, insert hook in designated st, yo draw up a loop) 3 times. there will be 7 loops on hook. Now yo, draw through 6 loops, yo draw through remaining 2 loops. Puff Stitch made.
Note 1: pattern is worked with every other stitch a puff stitch, example=dc, puff, dc, puff, dc, puff.
Note 2: numbers at the end of the row in ( ) indicate number of stitches for the row.

Poncho measures 30" across and 44" long before it's folded in half.
Gauge: 6 sts = 2" and 3 rows = 2"

pin – broomstick lace pin – tool used to make the broomstick lace

dec – decrease – yo, insert hook in designated stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, insert hook in

HASCARF
(hat/scarf)

Size: Adult hat 21" to 23", hat portion measures 10 1/2" from crown to edge; scarf portion measures 6" by 42" from the bottom of the scarf to the crown of the hat.
Materials: M hook, Red Heart Super Saver yarn, approximately 8 oz
Pattern is worked holding 2 strands of yarn together
Gauge – 4 dc = 2" and 2 rows = 2"
Abbreviations used:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
ea – each
sl st – slip stitch
Note 1: ch 2 does not count as a stitch
Note 2: when joining rounds, skip over the beginning chain and join in the first "real" stitch.
Note 3: for a longer scarf, keep working in rows until scarf is as long as you want.
ROW 1: ch 14, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in ea ch to end. (12 dc) ch 2, turn
ROW 2 thru 40: dc in ea st across. ch 2, turn at the end of ea row. (12 dc)
The next row is worked as a round as follows: crochet in the back loops all the way across. When you get to the end, do not turn, skip the beginning ch 2, then, continue on the same round by crocheting in the front loops of the same row.

ROW 1: ch 16, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 14 ch across. sl st in base of ch 16, sl st in next st. Turn, DO NOT CH 1. (15 sc)
ROW 2: working in back loops only, sc in next 15 sts, ch 1, turn. (15 sc)
ROW 3: working in back loops only, sc in next 15 sts, sl st in next 2 sts of last round of hat body. Turn, DO NOT CH 1. (15 sc)
Repeat rows 2 and 3 around last row of hat body.
At the end of last row of ribbing, and working thru back loops and opposite side of foundation ch, sl st in next 15 sts to close the seam.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

RIBBED NECK/FACE WARMER

MATERIALS:
I hook
175 yds (2 oz) 3 ply sport weight yarn
blunt needle
WORK ENTIRE PATTERN IN BACK LOOPS ONLY
ROW 1: ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea st to end, ch 1, turn (30 sc)
ROW 2 thru ROW 64: sc in ea st across, ch 1, turn. (30 sc)
At the end of row 64, work thru back loops and opposite side of foundation ch, sl st in ea st across.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
