WHITE TWINKLE CHOKER
Materials: H hook; 7 yds Patons Brilliant, color, white twinkle
abbreviations:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
scs – single crochets
sts – stitches
sl st – slip stitch
sk – skip
ch-# – chain followed by a dash, followed by a number refers to the loop made by a chain.
Note: numbers in ( ) at end of rows indicate number of stitches and is not instruction you to do anything.
ROW 1: ch 5, join with a sl st in first ch, to form a ring.
ROW 2: ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join with a sl st in first sc. (10 scs)
ROW 3: work in back loop only of row 2, ch 1, 1 sc in ea sc around. Do not join. (10 scs)
ROW 4: work in unworked front loops of row 2, *(ch 5, sl st) 3 times in next sc*. Repeat from * to * around. (30 ch-5 loops)
ROW 5: work in both loops. sl st in first sc of row 3, (ch 7, sl st) 3 times in ea sc around. Do not join. Do not fasten off.
STRAPS
FIRST STRAP: ch 60, sc in 2nd ch from hook (ch 2, sk 2 chs, dc in next st) repeat to beginning of the ch-60, end with ch 1, sl st in next ch-7 loop. Fasten off.
SECOND STRAP: join yarn in a loop directly across from strap 1. Follow directions for first strap.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

3 oz Caron Simply Soft orchid
small amount of contrasting color
The yarn amount is estimated, the finished hat pictured above weighed 2 oz. I used a small amount of Red Heart Super Saver in purple as the contrasting color.
Gauge: 4 rows = 2" and 8 sts = 2"
Specialty St:
PUFF ST: (yo, insert hook in designated st, yo draw up a loop) 3 times. there will be 7 loops on hook. Now yo, draw through 6 loops, yo draw through remaining 2 loops. Puff Stitch made.
Note 1: pattern is worked with every other stitch a puff stitch, example=dc, puff, dc, puff, dc, puff.
Note 2: numbers at the end of the row in ( ) indicate number of stitches for the row.
Note 3: beginning ch 3 counts as first dc

Poncho measures 30" across and 44" long before it's folded in half.

HASCARF
(hat/scarf)

Size: Adult hat 21" to 23", hat portion measures 10 1/2" from crown to edge; scarf portion measures 6" by 42" from the bottom of the scarf to the crown of the hat.
Materials: M hook, Red Heart Super Saver yarn, approximately 8 oz
Pattern is worked holding 2 strands of yarn together
Gauge – 4 dc = 2" and 2 rows = 2"
Abbreviations used:
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
ea – each
sl st – slip stitch
Note 1: ch 2 does not count as a stitch
Note 2: when joining rounds, skip over the beginning chain and join in the first "real" stitch.
Note 3: for a longer scarf, keep working in rows until scarf is as long as you want.
ROW 1: ch 14, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in ea ch to end. (12 dc) ch 2, turn

The yarn I used was donated to me and is a brand I've never seen before. The label says "Super Soft 3" and it's "imported by Lana Moro Inc. in New York". Caron Simply Soft would be a good substitute.

Ribbing is worked in rows
ROW 1: ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch across. sl st in base of ch 5, sl st in next st. Turn, DO NOT CH 1. (4 sc)
ROW 2: working in back loops only, sc in next 4 sts, ch 1, turn. (4 sc)
ROW 3: working in back loops only, sc in next 4 sts, sl st in next 2 sts of last round of hat body. Turn, DO NOT CH 1. (4 sc)
Repeat rows 2 and 3 around last row of hat body.
At the end of last row of ribbing, working thru back loops and opposite side of foundation ch, sl st in next 4 sts to close the seam.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

MATERIALS:
I hook
Approximately 8 oz. Red Heart Super Saver ww yarn, color, Red or color of choice
Scissors
Yarn Needle
GAUGE: 6 rows=2" and 6 scs=2"
ABBREVIATIONS USED:
ch = chain
cbs = crossed bar stitch
sc = single crochet
scs = single crochets
ea = each
st = stitch
sts = stitches
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
yo = yarn over
hdc = half double crochet = yarn over hook, insert hook in designated stitch, yarn over hook and pull yarn through stitch (3 loops on hook), yarn over hook and pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook.
SPECIAL STITCHES:
cbs = crossed bar stitch = Crossed Bar Stitch - yo, insert hook in st or sp indicated, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), yo insert hook in next st or sp indicated, pull up a loop (5 loops on hook), yo draw thru all 5 loops on hook - crossed bar stitch made.
Reverse hdc = reverse half double crochet = yarn over hook, insert hook in stitch to the right of the hook, yarn over hook and pull yarn through stitch (3 loops on hook), yarn over hook and pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook.
NOTE 1: Numbers in ( ) at the end of the rows is not a part of the instructions, it is simply stating the number of stitches you have at the end of that row.

ROUND 2: 2 sc in ea st around. (16 sc) place a marker in first st for row count. Move marker up in ea round.
ROUND 3: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st. Repeat from * around. (24 sc)
ROUND 4: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. (32 sc)
ROUND 5: *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around. (40 sc)
ROUND 6: * 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 4 sts. Repeat from * around. (48 sc)
ROUND 7: 1 sc in ea st around. (48 sc)
ROUND 8: * 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 5 sts. Repeat from * around. (56 sc)
ROUND 9: *1 sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next. Repeat from * around. (64 sc)

WORK IN BACK LOOPS FOR ROUND 11 ONLY
ROUND 11: sl st in next st, place marker in sl st, sc in back loop only of ea st around. End with sc in back loop of the sl st. Do Not Join. (72 sc)
ROUND 12 thru 13: Work in both loops. 1 sc in ea st around. Join with sl st in first sc. (72 sc)

ROUNDS 15 thru 17 are worked in ch-1 spaces of previous rounds.
ROUND 15 thru 17: ch 2, *cbs, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join in first ch-1 space of round for rounds 15 and 16. Join in the top of the first cbs for round 17. (36 cbs)
Tip: when you come to the stitch with the chain 2, place your stitch between the chain 2 and the first cbs stitch, then complete the stitch you're working on. This will hide the chain 2.
ROUND 18: ch 1, sc in same space as join, *1 sc in next st, 1 sc in next sp. Repeat from * around. Do Not Join. Place marker in first stitch for row count.
ROUND 19: 1 sc in ea st around.
ROUND 20: WORK IN FRONT LOOPS ONLY FOR THIS ROUND. * 1 sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around. (84 sc)
ROUND 21: 1 sc in ea st around. (84 sc)
ROUND 22: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 6 sts. Repeat from * around. (96 sc)

Reverse hdc = yo, insert hook in next st to the right, yo, pull up a loop, (3 loops on hook) yo, pull thru all 3 loops.
Tip: Reverse hdc is very awkward, but it gets easier as you do it.
Fasten off and weave in ends
Embelish with the White Twinkle Choker, just make the straps long enough to tie in back and hang down.
