    Hi Dot,

First of all, a huge thankyou for so generously sharing such a great collection of patterns :)

I'm wondering how to go about getting permission to sell a couple of hats made to your patterns in my online store. The patterns I would be using are the double crossed hat and the flower hat. My email is bewdymate@gmail.com.

    Thanks so much :)

    Hi Dot!
I love your patterns. Have made several. I have a fairly new shop in etsy where I have sold a few things. I've made your ponytail cap with a few changes and the honycomb cap and really enjoy them. I'd would like your premission to make and sell these two in my shop so others that can't crochet might enjoy them. I look foward to hearing back from you. Thanks for your time. my email is skdemay@yahoo.com

I would like to use a few of your patterns to sell in my etsy shop.

I'm not planning a whole store revolving around your hats -- just a couple here and there to be made by me and also my 11 year old daughter.

Here is my store, so you can get an idea of what we're doing:

We are using the funds from our store to finance our children's homeschool book needs.

I'd appreciate your consideration. You can contact me at:

    jewlbal3@hotmail.com

Thank you so much for your consideration -- you're patterns are beautiful!

    Hello Dot,

I want to say that everyone likes the two shawls that I am making for my relatives. One is the Lattice and the other is the Pineapple Shawl. May I have permission to charge for the yarn and labor and put your name and website on a label with each shawl? I do not want to make a mistake in violating copyrights.

    Thank you

I wish I could do charity work but times are rough here and I am my biggest charity. I am trying to sell a few of the hats I made from your patterns and would like your permission for this.

Also, would I have to ask permission if I made some of my own changes? I'm told it's not necessary but I would rather ask.......better safe than sorry.

    Many thanks!

I have used your adorable little sweater poncho a number of times for gifts.. I am not into selling just doing as gifts.. Anyway the little poncho has always been a very well received gift, it is very different. I was surfing some of my sites on favs today and ran across a site I had added on it some time ago and was very upset to see that a man who crochets has a pattern just like yours and calls it his... Now I know better cuz it wasn'[t on his site a few months ago and I first used you poncho sweater pattern a year ago last March... Now that makes me mad.... I love you patterns and enjoy doing them for gifts for family or friends.
    Hugs to ya lady
and thank you for sharing you creative.. And that site I had on my favs of that man who crochets well I deleted it from my list.. the nerve of him!!!

Thank you for making these wonderfully beautful patterns available to those of us who could never come up with these on our own.

I recently came to be blessed with yarn from the Brown Sheep Company. It's not practical for the charity works that I normally do, but would be perfect to make some of your items and sell at a charity auction.

    Again, thank you.

Hi Hannah, no problem. Like the statement says, the projects you make using my patterns are your and you may sell them at your church bazaar. I hope you raise a lot of money for your church.

Hi I was wondering if it would be OK to use your patterns to make stuff to sell. My church has a craft sale every year and I would like to use some of your patterns. Would that be OK?

    Hi Yoshielf,
This statement is just to let people know what my restrictions are for selling the projects they make. I haven't had any problems with anyone using my patterns. I just thought I'd make it easier for them (and me). Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your comments. Hope you have a happy holiday.

I can't see why people can just use a pattern they find and enjoy the process without taking away from the very person who provided the pattern

Thanks Marymargaret, I appreciate your kind words. I wasn't really worried about you but just felt a need to have something out here so people could know my feelings. Best wishes to you. Happy holidays.

don't worry about me I will always respect your wishes. I do occaisionally print off an extra pattern for some one to assist me in a project eg. hats and scarves for homeless etc. You truly are a talented lady and could well be selling your designs to top fashion outlets instead of giving them to "not so creative" persons " who need "inspiration boosts" Bless you for your generosity (which you will probably never learn the full extent of ) Warmest regards and appreciation
