I am an advanced crocheter but I still love to do this super fast and easy sweater (the hat too). Even with my busy, busy life I still managed to complete it in less then 2 days. I made two last year. One for my daughter and one for my friends daughter. I love the ties but my friend wanted buttons. It was adorable both ways. I just finished making a new one for my daughter for this year. This time I did 1 tie at the top and then 6 buttons down the front. I made the edging 3 rows thick (back loops only). It really turned out better then I hoped. I will take a picture and send it to you :-)

Hi Dot
I am now working on my second lil darlin sweater, this time in a thicker red wool (to go with the Beths star baby afghan (in red, white and Royal blue) I plan to make it longer adding an extra tie so that it will be more like a coat. This is my shower gift to a baby boy who will be born in April and the ensemble will be perfect for him next fall and in the spring of next year. I hope he will have fun dragging his "blankey" across the floor etc when he is walking!!! Many thanks for 2 lovely versatile patterns.
