This was my first ever crochet project and I love it. I've made a ton of them for various people. Thanks for posting the pattern.

this is the project that brought me over to crochet! I've been knitting for a year and wanting to crochet. I tried a project or two and didn't have much success. This pattern is simple and useful -- thanks so much. I've been looking through a lot of crochet books and it seems I often find patterns I like and it turns out you're the designer! Thanks again for all you do.

This was my first project on Ravelry and I loved it quick an easy and just what I wanted to take away with me as I made the handle to go over my wrist and I can put a ball of cotton in it and away I go. Thanks heaps I am about to check out more of you patterns

I love this bag! I just made one for a student I've been working with one on one and tomorrow will be our last session. It worked up very quick and is so cute! I'm going to embroider her initial in it. You can really do so much.
I can't wait to try and make a slightly bigger one for me!
Keep up the great patterns, I've used quite a few! :)

I love this pattern - I have experimented with various sizes of yarn, so I get different sizes of bags.
My friends love receiving this bag.
Thanks! | |

Thank you , Dot. I'll make up a sample tomorrow, to take to the class next weekend. Like so many other people, I just love your patterns, and I am very grateful to you for sharing them with us. I made ponchos for all my nieces about a year ago using several of your patterns, and they came out very pretty. The girls were so happy.

Hi Dot,
I am laughing because when I saw the little ditty bag pattern, I thought, "how perfect for the teens in the crochet club". I decided to write and ask your permission to use the pattern for teaching purposes. And now I see that Debra had the same request back in August! Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow, and the bag is very cool. Would you please allow me to give copies of the pattern to the teens in our crochet club?
thanks, Emily | |

Hi Debra. Yes, you can use Dot's Little Ditty Bag to teach your class. I sent you an email. Thanks for asking. Tell your class I said Hi and have fun.

I was hoping to get permission from you to use your pattern Dot's Little Ditty Bag for a crocheting class I teach to young children. It is adorable and easy to make. I hope you agree. Thank you, Debra

Hi Stacy, thank you. Glad you like this pattern. You're bag sounds really cute in two tones. I don't know if I'll have any bag patterns, but if I do, I'll be sure to post them here.

I just now finished this tonight. What a great pattern! I used a thicker yarn, ended up running out, so, I finished the last 6 rounds in a different color! I think it turned out good. Can't wait to see other bag patterns you have!!! Thank you!

I'm glad you like this Mary. I used single strands for the bag. It will look great in different colors. This is the only bag pattern I have, but with luck, it won't be my last one. You take care, and keep on hookin'.

I want to make one of these tonight. Did you use singleyarn or did you double the yarn? I think they will be fun to have in different colors. Do you have anyother bag or purse patterns?
