Hi Ingrid, glad you like my site. This Reflections Poncho (and all my ponchos) is worked from the neck down and it increases in the first few rounds to get it wide enough to make it flare out a little. This is one of my very favorite patterns, I loved how the pattern stitch looks.

Hi Dot, thanks SO MUCH for all the beautiful patterns!!! I am very excited to have found your site, will definitely try out some of them as soon as I finish a few things I'm working on (or maybe before!).

I have a couple questions about this gorgeous REflexions Poncho--is it crocheted from the hem up or neck down? I tried to figure it out from the pattern but couldn't. And do the total stitches somehow increase downward to get that nice flare? or is it the same size at the top as at the bottom and just stretches more at the hem to make the flare??? THANKS AGAIN,--Ingrid

Hi Pam. I'm sure this could be converted to a skirt, but I just don't know how to do it. You could play around with it and see what you can come up with. Good luck, let me know if you do make it into a skirt. I'd love to see it.

I was just wandering if you could tell me if you could convert this pattern into a skirt with a liner. I live down south and not much cool weather.

Hi Mari, you're welcome, I'm glad you like my patterns. Sorry for your illness, I know it must be hard on you, but I think it's great you can still crochet. I try to write my patterns the way I like to read patterns, one step at a time. You take care of yourself, Happy New Year.

Thank You for all the lovely patterns you have shared with all of us crochet lovers. I have RA and I can only crochet alittle at a time, but I have made several of your hats and plan on doing some of the poncho's. I love the way you write your patterns and really hate to put my projects down when I have to rest my hands but I have something really nice to wear or to share with some of my friends and relatives.
Thanks again.

Sorry for the confusion, Venaflo, it means I used all of 2 skeins and just a little bit of a third one. I hope this helps.

I wanted to start with this project, and I got stuck with the materials, please help me, what it means by: "a scant amount of a 3rd skein". I am new in the crocheting department!

Thanks

Hi there Pat,

This looks very interesting - can't wait for the corrected pattern. I will definetely make one for my mother and for myself.

I am busy trying my hand at knitting as well, do you knit by any chance?

Hope your mother is doing fine, enjoy the week.

Venaflo, offshore.
