Hello Dot,
I think your patterns are lovely. There is one of your patterns that im trying to crochet but im having some problems understanding some of the instructions. The pattern is the Peek and Valley poncho and im not sure what it is im supposed to do in round 3. Round three says; ROUND 3: sl st in next ch-10 loop, ch 1, 11 sc in same ch-10 loop, *11 sc in next ch-10 loop. Repeat from * around. Join in first sc. (286 sc). Will I be putting 11 single crochet in one loop or 1 single crochet in each 10 loops. Where will I be putting the single crochets in this round. Thanks.

now that I am done applauding you, I can type, lol. No, really, I can't imagine how you managed to come up with such wonderful patterns, this one is one I will for sure try out. It occurs to me that if you agree to be a team member on my site, all you would need to do would be to post the pictures and link to this site for the directions! How easy would that be? This is in reference to the comment I made at your other blog. The one that has a link to here to just see the patterns. Haven't had a chance to go thru all the patterns there yet,
tho.
I'll get to it!

when im doing the chains for the beginning row i puta small safety pin every so many inches (USUALLY HAVE 10 OR 12 pins on an 80 chain) and when i do the second row i take them out as i come to them i found this keeps the chain row from twisting with the added weight on it it works for me |

Hi GailJean, I had a terrible time with that myself. I had to try it a couple times before I got it right. Lay your work down on something flat and make sure it's laying untwisted, then bring the end around so you can slip stitch the ends together. Good luck. |

Dear Dot, Would you please tell me the easiest way to make a circle without twisting the yarn, I am having a terrible time not with the 80 sts, but joining them, and then doing the next row. Please advise . Thank you Gailjean racegjsp@aol.com |

Hi LMI, you start out with 3 chains, then you dc in the 3rd ch from hook, then you chain 3 more and dc in third ch from hook, you do that 25 times and you will end up with a long chain-like strip that you will then join to make a circle. The next round is worked in the sides of the stitches of that beginning strip. I hope that wasn't too confusing. Let me know. |

Thank you, Stephanie. Good suggestion, I'll try to remember to do this in the future. The yarn used in this pattern is a sport weight. |

Hi Dot, Again another gorgeous pattern. Congrats! When you write your materials list, can you list beside the yarn used whether it is worsted weight, sport weight etc? I think that would be helpful. Like Angie, I have quite the stash of yarn. Two huge rubbermaid containers full (and that's only the yarn I admit to having!!!!!) |

Absolutely, Angie, you might want to use a smaller hook but it definitely can be made in super saver. Thank you. |
