Hi Deb. You're welcome, glad you like them. I don't know where you'd buy straw. I've worked with the rafia once but didn't like it at all!

Wow, great patterns! Thanks. I was looking for a hat pattern to use with Homespun and I think the Honeycomb will be perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your creations. I will be sure to give you credit when I wear the hat! Have you thought about publishing a book of your patterns?

(I just rediscovered crochet after many years of doing only cross-stitch)

Thank you, Barbara. You should just take the plunge and pick a pattern to do and jump right in and try it. If you run into trouble on a pattern, email me at bythehook7647 (at) yahoo (dot) com. I'm never too far from my keyboard and I'll try my best to help you through the pattern.

Thank you, Hannah, I'm glad you like the site. UBW is my favorite hat too, because I can do it without using the pattern and it works up so quick. I'm glad to hear you use it with baby weight and sport yarn. I'll have to try that too. Thanks for writing.

i think your site is the best. i found out about it through crochetpatterncentral.com. i always go to your site first when i need a pattern. you should make more shawl patterns. you have alot of hat patterns which i think is good. i can never find a good hat pattern. i really like the UBW (ulgy but warm) hat. this hat works really god with 2 strands of baby or sport weight yarn. i like this pattern because it is so easy!! i have memorized it! it takes me one day to finish 2 of these hats. thanks for you patterns!!!

Thank you, Hannah. I try to make my patterns easy to follow so most everyone can use them. And, thanks for the info about the sport weight working for Honeycomb. That's good to know.
