These are GREAT for skiing!! I make them as gifts for all the skiers in my life! You wear them folded down when you ski and up on your face when you are on the chair lift to keep the wind off your cheeks!! The great thing is that there are no scarf tails to get in your way while zipping down the slopes!

Thanks for a wonderful pattern!

I love your neckwarmer pattern! Have made several of them in the past few months and added a variation. On every other row, I do the last 15 stitches in hdc. This causes a slight flare that allows the warmer to be pulled down more over the shoulder area, which I need kept warmer also.
Thanks for giving us so many lovely patterns!

Pati, try the UBW hat, it's the one in the picture with 4 hats. It's super simple and makes up very fast. I make several hundred of these for charities. Everyone I've heard from loves this hat for it's simplicity and speed.

My friend's daughter has a halfway house for retarded boys and we are going down there next C-mas. I need to make 15-20 toboggans for them by next year. I need a good simple pattern. Thanks Pati

Hi Judi, Thank you, I'm glad you like my patterns. Sorry about your knees, but what a great idea to use the neck warmer for knee warmers. I hope you'll let me know how they turn out. I'm glad you found my site, too. Enjoy the patterns. Happy hookin'.

Dot, I LOVE your patterns! You are so talented. My knees really bother me in the cold ND winters and I'm going to try the ribbed neck warmer for that. I'm so glad I found your web site. -Judi

Thanks Nikki, I'm glad you've gotten so much use out of this. Do you wear it on your head as a scarf? Another reader told me in Italy, they wear these like hats with their long hair hanging out the back. I hope you enjoy the other patterns as much as you're enjoying this one.

Love this idea/pattern. At the beginning of summer, my boyfriend bought his first motorcycle. Needless to say, we go out riding a lot.

Even in the middle of summer, WV nights can get chilly especially on the back of a bike traveling up and down mountains and in deep mountain cut-outs.

Scarves and motorcycles don't mix well...lol. My perfect travel accessories?...a pair of crocheted fingerless gloves/wrist warmers and your neck warmer.

I can't wait to try out more of your patterns. (I kind of got stuck on this one, but now I have one out of almost every yarn I have, so maybe now I can move on ;) )
