Hi Wanda. I had no idea that yarn had been discontinued. I got mine from a donation. I just looked it up and saw that an H hook is recommended for use with that yarn (even though I don't follow that), so any yarn calling for an H hook would work as a substitution. I've never worked with the yarn you're thinking of, so I can't say for sure.

Hi Dot, I love the look of your Santa hat. This past Christmas I received a Crochet Pattern-a-Day Calendar as a gift from a friend of mine. Of course, being the budding crochet student that I am, I looked through the entire calendar to see what patterns I might want to try and make. I e-mailed Caron regarding the Christmas Glitter yarn that you used for this pattern and found out that it has been discontinued. Do you have any suggestions on substitutions? I thought about Lion Chenille with the Glitter Spun for the sparkle. What do you think? Thanks.

Hi Shirley, glad you like the Santa hat, I'm partial to them myself. I'd love to hear how they turn out. Happy holidays.
