Hi Linda, I don't know the pattern you're asking me about, but if you're just in need of a v neck poncho for a child, here's a link to the one I made for my granddaughters. http://www.craftown.com/baby/pat4.htm
I used the same pattern for all 3 ponchos for the girls aged 18mos, 4 and 7. I just added more rows for each different size. Here's a link to their picture. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/bythehook7647/poncho_portrait.jpg

Hi Dot!
I have been looking all over for a V-neck poncho for a child. 4-7. I did one for my daughter from Red Heart Book in 1977. It was V-neck to start it. Popcorn stitch. It was adorable and I can not even find the V-Stitch start up. Can you help!
I love this one. I will owe you if you know how to start it. I have been looking everywhere! Thanks! Linda

Hi Vicki, sorry for the confusion. You don't hold the loops on the hook when you're doing the chain. Do the chain 6 first. Now, after making the chain 6, hold the last loop of each stitch (following the chain 6) on the hook, do the next stitches as instructed. I hope I didn't make this any more confusing to you. Please let me know if you need any more help. Good luck with your project.

Hi Foxylady, you're welcome. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but, if it's helpful to you I'm certainly glad. It's great to hear from you again.

Hi Dot,

I love your patterns. I am trying the Lizzy the 4th poncho and I am totally stuck on beginning my border row. How on earth do you make a ch 6 and leave loops on hook? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thank you Peg. This poncho is adult sized. It fits me. I don't have a child sized variation of it, sorry.

Hi Dot,

It's nice to find a more personalized site. This poncho is beautiful. Is it adult or child sized or do you have a variation for both? I have 3 granddaughters age 3, 4 & 7 and would love to make us all matching ponchos for christmas. Thanks for your help.
God Bless,
Peg

Hi April, have you tried to highlight just the pattern, copy it and then paste it in a word document? That's how I save patterns I find on the web. I don't mind emailing it to you, though.

My email is miracleshappen1231@verizon.net I think this one is absolutely beautiful. I am anxious to try it. Thanks for any help.
