Dear Dot,
Thanks so much for the variety of lovely patterns, especially the unique hats! You do great work and have a big heart to share all.
Question about sizing of hats. Some state size some don't. I crocheted X and O pattern and got a hat about 19" circumference x 6.5" height...maybe child 8-9 yrs.? Is there an adult version or just cont. inc. to 72 sts?

Love this pattern, works up very quickly but I do have a question. are you to work with 2 strands of yarn, I made this up but will fit a 1-2 years old if I'm lucky. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, your help will be greatly appreciated. Also want to thank you for all the patterns you've made available also love the WBU Hat-have used that pattern several times.
Thank you

Hi Najiyah,
I'm so sorry to hear of your mothers illness. I hope she has a complete and fast recovery. I'm glad I had some patterns you could use for her.

When I say ch 4 and do 12 dc in first chain, I'm referring to the very first chain you made. You are not going to do a circle, but place all 12 stitches in that first chain. It may seem tight, but, trust me, it will work. Good luck with your projects.

Oh, Dot, you are a such a peach!! God bless you for being willing to share your lovely patterns with us fellow crochet-o-philes! My mom is undergoing chemo for breast cancer and I'm halfway thru your whimple pattern (she says her neck and head ar always cold) and I'm making this hat as well.

I have a question: on the first row when you ch 4 and dc 12 in first stitch, do you mean first stitch from the hook or first loop in the chain or what? Do you make a circle with the chain and 12 dc in that?

Thanks and many blessings,
Najiyah
